GREAT OCCURRENCES IN PHOTOGRAPHY - YANGON PHOTO FESTIVAL HAPPENING NOW AND PDN'S CURATOR AWARDS - DEADLINE MARCH 24.

if you find yourself in Myanmar this year, specifically Yangon, then you'll find yourself smack dab in the middle of a new Photography Festival that started in 2009, and conceived by the Alliance Francaise. YPF is an oportunity to exhibit some of the best work produced around the world, train young photographers and support educational programs for disenfranchised children.

In 2011, the third Yangon Photo Festival will coincide with the centenary of Women's Day. It will be dedicated to photography about women and female photographers.
