IPA's second single-image themed competition is One Shot: The City. Submitting your work could land you cash prizes AND the opportunity to exhibit your winning work during the 2012 installment of The Month of Photography Los Angeles.

Three simple categories - People, Street Photography and Cityscapes.

OFFICIAL EVENTS OF LUCIE WEEK ARE HERE! JOIN US FOR ONE, OR ALL OF THESE EVENTS THAT CELEBRATE IPA WINNERS AND LUCIE HONOREES!

The official kick-off event for Lucie Week is the 2011 International Photography Awards Best of Show, curated by Audrey Landreth at Splashlight Studios on October 22, 2011. This exhibition features 46 of the winning images from this year's competition beautifully printed by A and I Studios. Excellent photography, drinks, DJ set by Goldick and an awesome raffle valued at over 5K in products and services.

The Lucie Foundation and En Foco co-present two artist talks on Sunday, October 23, featuring 2011 Lucie Honorees and Nueva Luz contributors.

WPO IS COMING BACK TO NEW YORK CITY!

From October 13th to November 12th, a series of events will be hosted at the Chelsea Art Museum, located in the heart of Chelsea, New York City.

The mixed programme of events will include an exhibition of photographs from the 2011 Sony World Photography Awards, a free Student Focus programme, In the Photographers Studio with Alejandro Chaskielberg and Elisabeth Biondi and workshops 'City Projects' will be taking place for the first time in the US, as well as various other events.

The theme of the workshops will be 'Portrait of a city' and are taking place in New York, Chicago and San Francisco throughout October and November. They have been uniquely designed for budding and established photographers alike. Participants will also be given the exciting opportunity to display their work to a global audience at an exhibition in London next year. There are still places available for New York so book early to avoid disappointment!



Come out to the Opening party of the World Photography Events at the Chelsea Art Museum in New York on Thursday, October 13th from 6pm to 9pm.
