Interested in collecting photography, or photography books? Starting out as a new collector and want to learn how to build your collection? This week offers three lectures about the different aspects of collecting, for both the young and seasoned collectors. The lecture on Tuesday, April 21 will focus on collecting books and feature a discussion with Michael Dawson (Gallery and Book Store Owner, Jeff Dunas (Photographer and Book Collector) , Jonathan Brown (Gallery and Book Store Owner ) and Musican/Photographer Andy Summers, moderated by Marjorie Ornston. This will be a rare treat. RSVP is required to collectors2@monthofphotography.com and the RSVP closes at 3 p.m. Free to the public. Young Collecting Young - A Conversation on Beginning Collecting on Wednesday, April 22 will be hosted by Paul Kopeikin and feature the following participants:

GREAT LECTURE SERIES IN CONJUNCTION WITH FRESH FAIR STARTS FRIDAY, APRIL 24 AND RUNS THROUGH APRIL 27.

Fresh Fair, an innovative new Photography Fair, will debut this weekend at Pier 59 Studios, and in conjunction with the fair, a series of free and low-cost lectures will be available to the public.

On Friday, April 24 from 7 - 9:00 p.m., Andrew Southam will address the importance of defining your singular and signature vision as a photographer, by referencing 10 photographers who clearly defined theirs. THIRD INSTALLMENT OF PRO'JEKT LA ON FRIDAY, APRIL 24.
